New products at the “Baumpflegetage 2018”

Last week, from 24 to 26 April 2018, the 26th “Deutsche Baumpflegetage” took place in Augsburg. We were there again with our own booth for you. Many thanks to everyone who visited us there! Of course, we also took a look around for you at the trade fair – and discovered some innovations and revised products for you.

New products at DMM

• Hitch Climber Eccentric:
  This pulley is – as the name suggests – a further development of the proven Hitch Climber. It pushes the friction hitch up earlier. The rope guiding has also been improved. Both ensure greater efficiency. The optimised rope guiding also keeps the rope directly on the pulley and improves the handling of slack rope. The Eccentric is very strong, yet light and rope-friendly. Suitable for friction hitch systems on moving and stationary rope. » Infosheet by DMM (PDF)
• Rigger Pulley:
  This pulley is also a further development of the Hitch Climber. The stronger axle construction with special roller bearing ensures extreme strength and longer service life. The plates have also been reinforced and can be firmly connected to each other. Alternatively also available with carabiner hole underneath. » Infosheet by DMM (PDF)
• Linkit:
  These rigging tools are used to connect various elements such as swivels or shackles and are compatible with many DMM components. » Infosheet by DMM (PDF)

New and Revised at ISC

• Rope Wrench Kit:
  The popular but not unproblematic Rope Wrench is now available as a kit. It consists of the Rope Wrench with Double Tether, a friction hitch loop (BeeLine Ø 10 mm, 75 cm long, 2 sewn eyes), the new Phlotich pulley (see below) and a carabiner. It is approved in conjunction with the Kernmaster rope, Ø 11 mm. This kit – exclusively with these components – is certified as a “mobile fall arrester including a flexible safety rope” according to EN 353-2. » Further information at ISC
• Phlotich:
  DMM’s new pulley was developed for SRT and DdRT. It is also used in the Rope Wrench Kit. » Further information at ISC

New products by Notch

• new foot ascender:
  In Augsburg, the prototype of a new foot ascender was presented, which is suitable for both the left and right foot. The toothless ascender is designed for ropes with a diameter of 8 to 13 mm. The strapping is replaceable. It is expected to be available in our shop in July.

News from FTC

• new pulley:
  At the Baumpflegetage, FTC presented the prototype of a new pulley – a compact hybrid of rigging ring and block pulley. We are very excited about the further development of this product!

• Spurs with AustriAlpin buckles:
  The proven Distel climbing spurs will also be available with the AustriAlpin Click buckles from Cobra at the end of the year.
