Teufelberger calls upon all users of climbing ropes Braided Safety Blue® with slaice®, Arbor Elite with slaice® and pottsblitz with slaice®, CEclimb 12.7 with slaice® not to use them any more. During an incident with a slaice® of a Braided Safety Blue rope, which fortunately took place without personal injury, the rope termination opened. The recall affects all the above-mentioned ropes between January 2014 and September 2019, as Teufelberger cannot rule out a potential malfunction of the rope termination for these ropes.
Not affected by this product recall are the ropes Tachyon with slaice®, drenaLINE with slaice®, CEclimb 11 (with Tachyon 11.5 with slaice®), other Teufelberg ropes including Braided Safety Blue and Arbor Elite without end termination and Teufelberger ropes including Braided Safety Blue and Arbor Elite with any end termination (except slaice®).
